Greg Curnoe Bike is Ready for Photos

All right—all the details are in place and GC Bike is ready for his photos. I might end up doing them myself to save some money... and it would be fun, too. So here are some more poor photographs of the bike, with good ones (proper lighting! un-busy backgrounds!) to follow in a few days, if all goes well.

I think you should throw on some standard pedals and toe clips for the photos.

I thought about it, but I really want it to be the bike "as it will be ridden." Part of my idea of "translating" the bike out of two dimensions and in to a 3D thing that satisfies my eye as well as my needs as a cyclist.

I've been following your blog for over a year now. Had to finally post just to say WOW!

Nice constructeur details. Tell us about the adjuster for the front brake cable. Nicest one I've seen, and it looks almost like a Mafac barrel adjuster from a brake caliper, n'est pas?

Thanks! It's actually from some old Dia Compe Gran Compe levers (yes, I bought them just for the adjusters.) You can now—miraculously—buy these new, from Velo Orange. But theirs are M6, and the one you see there is M5. (I have one of the VO M6 adjusters on the rear brake).

Enough ogling. Ride report, please.

I'm afraid you will have to put up with some more ogling in the immediate future.
